The Kovdorsky District Court in the Murmansk region has imposed a fine of 30 thousand rubles on Ukrainian pensioner Vasily Yovdiy. The basis was an administrative case regarding the so-called discreditation of the Russian army (Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code), initiated due to the likes he placed under a video on YouTube. The incident was highlighted by the publication "Vjorstka."
An elderly resident of the Murmansk region has been held administratively liable and fined for "liking" videos on YouTube published by individuals recognized as foreign agents. This incident appears to be the first recorded case of its kind.
