The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation has included Z-activist Roman Alekhin in the list of "foreign agents." The relevant information has been published on the official website of the ministry.
According to the position of the Russian authorities, Alekhin engaged in distributing materials prepared by "foreign agents," published "inaccurate data about decisions made by public authorities of the Russian Federation and their policies," as well as "false information creating a negative image of military personnel."
In addition to him, activist Ivan Vostrikov, journalist Elena Rykoltseva, historian Sergei Erlikh, and the media project "Avtozak-LIVE" were added to the list.
In July 2024, Alekhin was appointed as an advisor to the then-acting governor of Kursk Oblast, Alexei Smirnov. The latter was arrested in April 2025 in connection with a criminal case regarding embezzlement during the construction of defensive structures on the border with Ukraine.
In early September, the founder of the publication Avtozak LIVE, Maxim Kondratyev, announced the cessation of the project's operations due to the risks of criminal prosecution for journalists located in Russia.
