Zaur Gurtsiev, who served as Stavropol's deputy mayor and fought in the Ukraine conflict, died in a blast in the city.

A senior official in Stavropol's administration, First Deputy Head Zaur Gurtsiev, died in a blast on Chekhov Street. Regional Governor Vladimir Vladimirov confirmed the incident through his Telegram channel.

Authorities reported that security forces and special services are currently at the scene. Investigators are examining all possible scenarios, including the potential of a terrorist act.

The explosion took place overnight on May 29. Stavropol's city head, Ivan Ulyanchenko, stated that two men lost their lives in the incident, and nearby parked vehicles sustained damage.
