Spanish authorities began investigating financial transactions involving an Estonian firm linked to the son of Rostec deputy chairman Dmitry Artyakov in May 2025, according to Novaya Gazeta Europe's reporting.
This Spanish investigation followed revelations by the OCCRP investigative network regarding the offshore operations tied to "Troika Dialog." The network allegedly facilitated the movement of billions from Russia, including funds from corrupt deals and questionable government agreements. These resources reportedly financed European acquisitions by Russia's wealthy elite - from luxury properties and vessels to stock investments and elite schooling.
This isn't the first time Spanish officials have scrutinized Artyakov's family connections - previous inquiries involved his grandmother Anna Kurepina, the state manager's mother-in-law.
