Novabev Group experienced what it called an "unprecedented" cyberattack on July 14, leading to ongoing disruptions at its Vinlab retail stores across Russia for four consecutive days, according to the holding's press service.

The hack compromised portions of the company's IT infrastructure, affecting certain services and operational tools, including Vinlab's systems, Novabev stated.

While the attackers demanded ransom, Novabev's leadership refused to engage in negotiations. The company assured that no customer personal data was compromised in the breach.

Beyond the Vinlab store closures, the retail chain's website and mobile app also became inaccessible starting July 14. Customers reported difficulties retrieving orders from pickup locations and parcel lockers. In response, the company extended order storage deadlines, as reported by Forbes.
